1. Add some fun patterns and textures

Summer is the time for colorful prints, patterns and textures, so don’t be afraid to incorporate them into your kitchen decor. Replace your kitchen napkins with some colorfully printed fancy frills, and hang them on your door handles for easy access and homey ambiance. You can also add some texture with a macrame hanging basket or wicker fruit bowl. Summer-y printed rugs on your kitchen floor can cushion you while you work and won’t heat up your kitchen floor. Add sheer lace curtains to your kitchen windows to control the harsh sun and still feel summery.

2. Bring some fresh flowers and plants

One of the easiest ways to infuse some summer vibes into your kitchen is to bring in some fresh flowers and plants. Choose bright, colorful flowers that will add a pop of color to your space. You can also add some pot herbs like basil or mint for a touch of greenery that doubles as a functional ingredient in your cooking. Spruce up your kitchen with some leafy green bling but without the hassle of constant water!

Get your hands on some money plants, and watch your kitchen go from drab to fab. Plus, you’ll have some extra money in your pocket from all the Money Plant goodness! Paint your kitchen with shades of yellow and orange with a simple trick – put some lime, orange or king of summer – create a perfect Indian summer look with some large cutting boards and fruit bowls with plants.

3. Include some coastal elements

Nothing says summer like the beach, so why not bring some coastal elements into your kitchen? For a nautical theme consider adding some blue and white striped towels and rugs, if possible, change your door handles to ceramic or porcelain to enhance the decor. Bring the beach into your kitchen by adding some fun and colorful beach magnets and don’t forget to add some beach pictures to your counter to complete the summer vibe. If you can change the ceiling lighting, introduce some rattan pendant lights for a coastal atmosphere.

4. Change your tableware

If you’re looking for a more substantial change, consider swapping out your regular tableware for something that screams summer. Choose colorful plates, bowls and glasses that will bring some energy to your meal. Add a pop of beautiful pastels to your kitchen with some pretty dishes! Ditch those boring white plates and monotonous bowls and upgrade to some colorful, pastel utensils that will make your food taste as good as it does. You can also mix and match different patterns and colors for a playful and eclectic look.

Finally, summer is the perfect time to freshen up your kitchen decor and bring some vibrant energy into your space. By incorporating some fresh flowers and plants, fun patterns and textures, coastal elements, summer-inspired tableware, and clever lighting, you can create a kitchen that feels like a sunny paradise. So go ahead and get creative – your kitchen will thank you.
