The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) hosted the India in Fashion exhibition last night. The exhibition and gala attended by many international and national personalities showcased over 140 eye-catching pieces of India-inspired costumes that tell the story of the country’s influence on global fashion. Actors like Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt and others also performed in the program. However, one particular fashion element delighted not only netizens but also fashion enthusiasts – the saree was seen worn by stars like Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Rekha and more. Rekha is the queen of six yards. So, there is no doubt that the veteran actor made it to our list. Rekha wore mint green and turquoise Kanjivaram silk saree at the NMACC Day 2 Gala. She styled a beautiful six yards with a floral brocade patterned matching full sleeve blouse, an embellished potli bag, choker necklace, headband, earrings, bangles, bracelets and rings. A gajra-adorned center bun, red lips, kohl-lined eyes, cheekbones and dewy skin gave the finishing touches.
Gigi Hadid
Gigi Hadid exuded high-octane glamor in a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla chikankari saree and gold embellished blouse. The pre-plated six yards featured an intricately designed gold stripe border and a thigh-high slit at the side. Finally, Gigi opted for an ornate gold stacked bracelet, embellished high heels, a center-parted sleek bun, diamond studs, and minimal makeup for glam looks.
Zendaya
Zendaya chose a Rahul Mishra creation to walk the pink carpet at the NMACC Day 2 Gala. She wore a straight off-the-runway ensemble – a midnight blue saree with glittering star-shaped sequin patterns, floral applique work and embroidery, and a pallu with a train at the back. An embellished gold bralette, Bulgari jewelry, messy bun, nude pink lips, and glowing skin rounded it out.
Suhana Khan
Suhana Khan attended the NMACC Gala in a gold and black sequined net saree and matching strappy bralette. Her Six Yards is the perfect dress for the wedding season. She styled it with heels, a box clutch, drop earrings, center-parted open locks, nude lips, winged eyeliner, dewy foundation, mascara-adorned lashes, and luscious cheeks.
Sharvari Wagh
Sharwari Wagh also opted for a custom look by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Her ivory saree is adorned with ruffles, pearl embellishments, and a floor-grazing hem. She styled Six Yards with a statement-making bustier blouse featuring a one-shoulder structured design, pearl embellishment, and a sweetheart neckline. Open locks, minimal jewelry, and luscious makeup gave the finishing touches.
Disha Patani
Disha Patani served up a desi girl moment at NMACC in a sequined silver saree, her strapless bralette blouse was draped in a flattering style to show off the sweetheart neckline and cropped hem. She wore six-yard long jhumka earrings, nude coral lip shade, winged eyeliner, open locks, beaming highlighter, rings and high heels.
Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor chose a statement black saree with a pre-draped silhouette, kalamkari print bustier blouse, and a matching floor-sweeping pallu at the back. She wore high heels, kundan choker necklace, ear studs, center-parted braided hairstyle, smokey eyes, black bindi, nude lips, flushed cheeks, feathered brow and dewy foundation.
