In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Anne Munjal, MD of Ashmeen Munjal’s Star Makeup and Hair Academy suggests:

– Start with a clean and moist face: Make sure your skin is clean and moisturized before applying makeup. Use a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt and oil from your skin, and then apply a light moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.

– Use a primer: Using a primer creates a smooth base for your makeup and helps it last longer. Choose an oil-free and lightweight primer, which will keep your skin from looking oily and shiny.

– Opt for lightweight, long-wearing products: Choose lightweight makeup products that are designed to last all day. It is important to keep in mind that fasting can make your skin more sensitive and prone to dehydration. Therefore, it can be helpful to choose light and breathable makeup products that are also long-wearing and sweat-resistant. Look for water-resistant and sweat-proof formulas, especially for your foundation, concealer and powder.

– Set your makeup with powder: Use a translucent powder to set your makeup and prevent it from melting. Focus on areas like your T-zone and under your eyes where you sweat the most.

– Keep blotting papers handy: Blotting papers are a great way to quickly remove excess oil and sweat from your skin without disturbing your makeup. Keep a pack in your purse so you can touch up throughout the day.

– Get comfortable with eye makeup: Instead of heavy eye makeup, opt for a simple and natural look. Use waterproof mascara and light colored eyeshadow to create a fresh and effortless look.

– Use a setting spray: After applying your makeup, use a setting spray to lock it in place and keep it looking fresh. Look for a formula specially designed to prevent sweat and oil from ruining your makeup.

1. Moisturize well

Using a moisturizing cream should be an integral part of your daily routine. Using a moisturizer regularly helps the skin retain moisture and prevent wrinkles. The need for proper hydration during Ramadan is most urgent as fasting results in loss of bodily fluids during the day. It needs to be replaced by a more intense moisturizing routine. So, make sure you don’t skip using your moisturizer.

2. Maintaining a natural look

Keep your natural look as much as possible, especially during the day by being diligent with your daily skincare routine and using moisturizing creams and various skin nutrients and then adding a few simple touches of foundation or concealer to areas with some pigmentation. Mouth and nose and mix it well. You can define your eyes with a simple touch of eye shadow or else use blush on the upper eyelid, in lighter colors to give the skin some vibrancy in a simple and luxurious Ramadan style.

3. Give skin some glow

Make-up is not complete without using highlighters near the eyes or on the cheeks, which give an exciting glow to the face, but during the holy month of Ramadan, it is advisable to remove it and use some oils and natural care products or refreshing moisturizers. For the skin, because they will give it a natural glow and shine without applying many layers of makeup. Make sure to apply it after the skin is thoroughly cleansed.

4. Sun protection is a must

Sunscreen should always be kept in your bag because it is a light product and does not leave a visible effect on the skin because it protects your skin from the sun’s harmful rays, which are the number one cause of skin diseases, and it maintains the skin. Skin moisture and freshness due to its moisturizing properties. Sunlight also increases fluid loss in the body, which increases thirst and dehydration during the fasting period.

5. Take skincare time seriously

Most of us would agree that we cannot step out of the house without our eyebrows. A great way to give your face a little lift is to draw on the top of your brows with a pencil – stay away from really dark colors and use a grayish brown tone instead. Always use lip balm to keep your lips hydrated. If you need some color, go for a really nude sheer tint.
